At a Crossroads

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about where to go next with Campfire Tales. I have books half-read to review, a letter to disclose, stories to tell, ideas to share, and so on (funny poems) and so forth (just plain awful poems). Plus, waaaay more than all that.

In other words, too many choices. My blogging life is like this:

Too Many Choices

“The name’s Chad. Camp Host Chad.”

Probably a bit too much. I crossed the line there. I never cross lines.

Crossing the Line

As I was saying, there are so many places to go with this site, and yet… the purpose started as a place to connect a few Lassen dots. The last Lassen dot? This guy:

Lassen_Manzanita Lake_Fisherman

So unconnected!

And now everything is all:

Bridges, bridges, bridges.

But to where?

If you have preferences, please let me know. If not, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

  1. Not that I have a “story to tell” – your fiery top banner still fills me with terror! – but perhaps you should open up a pull-down menu so that you can curate other peoples “Campfire stories”. Campfire stories can have that delicious surreal rambling quality – as everyone gazes into the flames – that other “morning-time” stories don’t necessarily have.
I guess contributors would upload stories to you in the “leave a reply” area – you vet them for content – and then load them into the Campfire Stories section?
Your top banner does throw out the “Tell your story” challenge, after all.
