In celebration of the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, two thoughts:

First, these inspirational words from the man himself that remind us why and how he earned his own holiday:

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

(I know — picture is a bit obscure, but it’ll do for now, until I can visit the below referenced National Historic Site.)
