A beneficial owner is a person who enjoys the benefits of ownership even though title to some form of property is in another name. It also means any individual or group of individuals who, either directly or indirectly, has the power to vote or influence the transaction decisions regarding a specific security, such as shares in a company. ~ Investopedia
One of the regular readers of Campfire Tales took the above photo in Yosemite, added the quote, and submitted it to be shared. Thank you, Steve!
The quote reminds me of the Stephen Mather statement from decades earlier.
I’m encouraged that these reported millionaires – Garamendi and Mather – went into politics and triumphed our shared ownership of national parks. While it would be easy to be cynical about national park funding and the current political climate, and although Campfire Tales isn’t a political blog, it is about our relationship with the parks – we own them, something the 325 million Americans who visited them in 2016 hopefully remember!
Glad you liked my PhotoShop adventure Camp Host Chad. I hope everyone can enjoy what God has given us and some wise politicians preserved as our mutual treasure.
