Earth Day (2017): Elements

In the debates surrounding the elements, such as their number (four versus five?), their definition (scientific versus – to choose just one – astrological), their symbolism (spiritual, philosophical, etc.), the “chicken or the egg” order of their cycles (fire consumes wood, wood grows from the earth, paper covers rock, and so on), the Campfire Tales stance is: How do they tell a story?

While the following photos and working titles may or may not make another appearance in upcoming posts, the elements represented are definitely central to their forthcoming posts.

Fire: “Campground Chronicles”

P1060342

Air: “The Milkshake Bear”

P1050202

Water: “It’s All Downhill From Here”

P1060166

Earth: “Get the Lead Out”

P1040182

Wishing you all a happy and healthy Earth Day!

Psalm 19:1-4 (NIV)

The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
    no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
    their words to the ends of the world.
