Hi! (insert nervous smile here) I haven’t posted in a while…

OK, OK.

I haven’t posted in 2024. So what! What’s it to you?

Oh, you were just worried? (shy smile) Thank you!

So then what’s my excuse? My “best” one?

Well, I either started an all-consuming job, survived a car accident that upended my life, ventured off on travels, got bogged down by personal commitments, reconsidered my blogging purpose, or maybe all of the above.

Alternatively, I found myself too busy feeding the squirrels to write. They are so hungry!

But then, for the past month, I’ve been seeing the numbers “1111” everywhere, and while some would tell you that relates to my guardian angel (don’t get me wrong, I’m not denying it), I started to think it related to today, November 11. (I was really nervous at 11:11, and I only have 11:11 p.m. to survive as I type this, but even so… yikes!)

And then this morning, thinking about all the goals and things I am wanting to do, plus the significance of today’s date, I remembered the concept of a “solar year.”  I’ve decided that my solar year begins today, and I’m calling it Year I. (I defined solar year, and wrote about Year O previously.) To commemorate that: this post.

Now off I go!!
